On October 7, 2009, The First Tee of San Francisco opened the first ever golf facility at an urban school in the country. Mayor Gavin Newsom, Commissioner Tim Finchem, PGA Tour Players Paul Azinger and Nick Faldo were in attendance to start this first of a kind driving range facility on an urban school setting.
